Are you interested in becoming a non-attorney Social Security Disability Advocate? If so, please read the rest of this page and contact us directly to see if we are in need of an advocate in your local area.
We are looking for highly motivated, highly qualified individuals with vocational rehabilitation, medical or legal backgrounds. This is an opportunity for you to build a business of your own and it requires that you possess skills in a variety of disciplines including medical, legal, and business. Fewer than 5% of the individuals who expressed an interest in our program have been offered a contract. Like any other business, this takes years to develop and produce maximal income and you should be prepared for that. If you are in need of immediate income, this program will not fulfill your needs. On the other hand, if you are interested in building a business that will grow to produce a very profitable professional practice, this could be it! We offer a very comprehensive training program which is available to our advocates without charge. THAT'S RIGHT, IT'S FREE! It takes approximately one year to complete our training, however you will be able to start accepting clients after the first two months of training. You will be required to purchase some reference materials which are available from various sources at a cost of approximately $300-$400. It is completely acceptable if you choose to work from your home office but you will need a fully functional office system including a computer with broadband Internet access, a dedicated telephone line, and fax/scan/copy capabilities. We will provide you with the other resources necessary to do the work including a fully automated online caseload management system. This is a MAJOR commitment. Please don't take it lightly. We provide this free training program ONLY to individuals who will be working under contract with our organization for a period of not less than five years. Our Director of Advocate Training is recognized as a national figure in Social Security's disability program with over 25 years experience training SSA decision makers. Another of our staff members, the National Hearing Specialist, is responsible for training our advocates in the areas of preparation for Administrative Law Judge hearings with special emphasis on case development for possible On-the-Record decisions. Our entire training program is designed to exceed any requirements set forth by the Social Security Administration in compliance with the Social Security Protection Act of 2004. In addition to our regular training program we also offer free continuing education credits to our advocates who are participating in the Demonstration Project For Direct Payment. There are other programs available on the Internet and they are happy to sell you a training program. You may be tempted by dazzling software programs, but this work is far too individualized to be automated. We have had numerous graduates from those other programs interested in joining our organization, but we felt that they simply were not ready to provide adequate representation with the training they had received. If you have completed one of those other programs, you will still be required to participate in our more in-depth training. Disability Advocates of America doesn't sell training. We provide education which is without equal in this profession. In addition to our formal training program, we will work directly with you on a daily basis and provide as much individual instruction as you need. You will be part of a community of professional advocates who are dedicated to helping disabled individuals obtain the benefits they deserve. This profession is extremely rewarding and we will be there to support you as you build your own business. Our training program can be completed from your home office and while you are still employed in your current job. Our live training is offered by teleconference, so you can participate from any location with access to a telephone. We are looking for individuals holding degrees in relevant professional fields. A baccalaureate degree is the minimum requirement to enter into our program. If you have one of the following degrees from a nationally accredited institution of higher learning, we would be interested in hearing from you: Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Paralegal Studies, Speech/Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Education, or other disability-related field, or Master's Degree in any healthcare or mental health field, or Ph.D., M.D., Psy.D., Ed.D. in any relevant field. If interested, please contact us at: info@disability-advocate.com or, Disability Advocates of America, LLC ATTN: Advocates Wanted 170 Simpson Avenue Cedar Creek, TX 78612 1-866-215-5406 Note: Prior to being offered a contract, all candidates will be required to provide official college transcripts and will be subject to a criminal background check. |
